The main focus of the site is the REDI - Resilience Education and Drug Information. That is, information about resources, policies and materials for drug education and incident management. Whilst the actual resources, policies and materials may not be on the website, information is provided on the availability of each resource and how to source it.
The site also has a "Reading Room" with a selection of useful information for the professional development of teachers and other school staff and school community members, especially in relation to school drug education and a whole of school approach to this issue.
The site also includes special areas for tertiary educators and their students (
Get REDI), and for parents (
REDI for Parents).
If you are interested obtaining a copy of the REDI resources, please contact the Department of Education, Science and Training at
drugeducationprogramme@dest.gov.au.
Initial resources were distributed by DEST to every school in Australia during Term 3 2003.

Tertiary educators and their students can access relevant information on effective drug education and managing drug use and drug-related incidents in schools.
Parents can access information and strategies for talking to their children and young people about drug-related issues.
Resources have been assessed prior to the establishment of this website. A preliminary database was established and comment sought from a number of stakeholders including all state/territory education jurisdictions. The process for adding resources is ongoing and new resources will be assessed for inclusion on a monthly basis. If you have information about resources that you can't find on the database, please
contact us.
