Get REDI

Get REDI: is designed for tertiary educators of pre-service teachers in the area of drug education and well being. Get REDI provides materials to assist training around the role teachers and schools can play in enhancing resilience. It looks at effective pedagogy, whole school approaches and evidence based dug education, including the importance of interactive and inclusive approaches on the provision of developmentally and culturally appropriate classroom drug education.

Get REDI consists of a tertiary educator’s guide, a video and a website, as part of the main REDI website.

The Get REDI Tertiary Educator’s Guide introduces tertiary educators to a range of school drug education resources and materials. It includes an introduction to the National Drug Strategy, sample lecture agendas, handouts and slides for:

  1. generalist primary/middle school student teachers
  2. non-Health and Physical Education (HPE) middle school and secondary student teachers
  3. middle school and secondary specialist HPE student teachers
