The One and All video is divided into four segments, each of which addresses a particular theme:
- You and me – relationships and friends
- I’m ok – positive view of self
- It’s cool – staying safe
- Help – giving and seeking help
Within each theme you’ll meet a group of children, some of whom attend a circus school, and hear their views on the issues addressed in the theme. An animation highlights the issues raised. At the end of each theme, a question is posed to the viewers. Each theme has been designed to be implemented independently.
The One and All Teacher Guide provides:
- An overview outlining the aims and learning outcomes of the resource and the approach taken.
- Information on class climate around setting ground rules, protective interrupting and providing appropriate support.
- Model activities for each theme, designed to provide students with opportunities to develop and practise skills in social and emotional competence which promote resilience. Some may integrate with work or activities being undertaken for other Key Learning Areas or school purposes. Some also provide opportunities to raise issues around drugs within the broader context of staying safe and seeking help. Throughout, coaching notes provide further support and suggestions for the classroom teacher.
- Activity sheets to support the activities.
